MAría Maldonado is an Ecuadorian Illustrator based in New York City

At the core of MAría’s visual language is a passion for bringing the spontaneity and energy of analog mark making into today’s digital climate through her illustrations, playful comics, characters, and animated gifs.

While her first love was learning color theory through oil painting and the formalities of representational draftsmanship; maría’s tirelessly curious nature has made her a truly versatile artist capable of tackling a VARIETY of subject matter.
